| Subject: Great themes for a 3 year old girl's birthday party Wed Dec 01, 2010 8:15 am | |
| Turning 3 is a big milestone for little girls. This is when they start to be old enough to really understand what a birthday is, and can really start to enjoy the planning and things that go with it. At this age, they will actually start to form their own opinions as to what they want for their birthday party theme, and when you are planning a theme, you will have to keep this in mind. Some children are naturally more opinionated than others, so know your little girl, and what she would like the most. After all, every child is different.Of course, there are very few little girls at this age that do not love princesses. Whether it's Disney princesses, or just a general princess theme, almost every little girl at this age considers herself to be a princess making this a natural theme. This is also a very simple theme to accomplish. Cakes or cupcakes with pink and lavender icing, and tiaras and jewelry will make her feel like a true princess, and be age appropriate. At this age, they are also old enough to appreciate princess dolls and dress up accessories, making this an especially fun theme for them. Fairies are also a gret theme. Cupcakes and cakes with flowers on top will be the order of the day for this theme. You may want to buy a set of fairy wings for each girl at the party from your local dollar store as well. You can make wands that are age appropriate as well. Again, you may want to focus on the Disney fairies, such as Tinkerbell and friends, or you may prefer to have a more generic fairy theme. Either way, you will be able to have a great party with this theme. At this age, they are also just barely old enough for a Barbie theme as well. Feature fashion accessories for both them and their dolls. You can even make a cake that features Barbie and her friends, or even just cupcakes iced in Barbie pink. Add flowers, and a few doll accessories, including a car, and your little girl will be completely delighted. No matter what you choose to use for your theme, make sure that it's something your little girl will love. This is an age where you really need to start letting her give you some input. She is still too young to make too many decisions, but you can at least ask her what her favorites are, and let her choose between two desirable themes. Just don't be surprised if she changes her mind a couple of times. Remember, although this is quite a milestone, she's still a baby in a lot of ways. Any other good ideas you have, please share it.. | |
