What's the best way to get over a guy?

What's the best way to get over a guy? I've liked this guy for years
now, he and I have gone out twice, both times for shorter amounts of
time then I would have liked, and I don't know what to do. He's still my
friend, my best friend actually, but he doesn't seem to think that he
and I belong together. (People thought he and I have been dating for the
past two years, even though we were just friends for most of that
time.) I still love him, but he doesn't return the romantic feelings and
I just really want to get over him. HELP! Any advice of a good way to
get over him?!?!?!?!?
