If women take in more Omega-3 fatty acids in daily diet, it can alleviate abdominal pain by 40%. Omega-3 fatty acids can reduce the secretion of a kind of hormone in female body, while this kind of hormone may increase uterine contraction and cause abdominal pain. What's more, Omega-3 fatty acids can also alleviate the anxiety caused by premenstrual syndrome. The best food which contains plenty of Omega-3 fatty acids is deep-sea fish, such as salmon and tuna.

Thirdly, insomnia
Because of the changes of hormone, about 60% women begin to suffer from insomnia one week before the menstrual period. Even if they have fallen asleep, they are also very easy to wake up during the night. This problem is caused by the lack of tryptophan in the body, which can effectively improve the quality of sleep. It is recommended to eat foods such as turkey, beef and walnut, so as to provide enough tryptophan to the body.

Fourthly, acne
Acne is the biggest trouble that many women would suffer from at the premenstrual period. This is resulted from the lack of zinc, because zinc can hinder the growth of a certain kind of enzyme, which can cause inflammation and infection. In addition, zinc can also reduce the oil secretion of the skin and decrease the chance of infection. As a result, if you want to eliminate the acne, you should supplement more zinc to your body! Foods such as beef, mutton, shrimp, and pumpkin are good choices for you.
